Our bathtime Routine

Bathtime routine for my boys!

OUR BATH TIME ROUTINE.

We have been doing the same routine with both boys since they were born they are now 6 & 3, Using the same times & Products. It still works like magic!

Bathtime Routine

Depending on what time we have dinner if we have it around 5pm then they play for hour or so & Come 6:00-6:30PM we will bath them. I always find it better to bathe them closer to their bedtime.

It seems to wind down the boys & Relax them so it helps a lot when they are ready to sleep. I’m not going to say this works for everyone because it more than lightly won’t, But it works for us so here it is.

Bathtime Routine

This is the order bath time happens.

  1. Run the bath between 6-6:30PM
  2. Add a good squirt of Johnson’s bathtime wash (Smells divine)
  3. Get the boys in & Washed
  4. Wash their hair with Johnson baby shampoo (Not a fan of the shampoo smell mind)
  5. Leave it on for a little while & Rise it off
  6. The boys then have a play before getting out

We then get both of the boys dried, In to pyjamas if they want them on, Oscar doesn’t usually want them on mind. They brush their teeth & It is straight to bed. We can 99% of the time guarantee they will be asleep within 30-45 minutes. It’s great when it goes smoothly because I know they are getting a good nights sleep ready for School & Nursery.

Edward still loves having a bath

We also used to use Johnson’s bathtime talc but the boys aren’t keen on it now especially with Edward being older.

Oscar has always loved bath time

I find it great to have them in a routine. Sometimes they slip out of it but it’s best to get back in to it as soon as possible. It messes them up massively loosing that extra bit of sleep they are used too. It’s also good for parents, To have your time without the children around your feet. We all deserve a break & This is ours.

Let me know if it helps you in any way I hope it does.
